Parents: Henry Alexander (1803-1877) and Lady Louisa Juliana Knox (c.1820-1896, dau. of 2nd Earl Ranfurly. Married (1883) Mary Stuart Erskine (d.1928). Daughter: Constance Mary Alexander (1885-1956, unmarr).
