Wyrd Sisters started life as author Terry Pratchett's sixth Discworld novel, first published in 1988, and then adapted for the stage in 1991 by Stephen Briggs for the Studio Theatre Club in Headington. This ignited a relationship between Terry and Stephen which saw the latter adapt many more of the Discworld novels for theatre, though Wyrd Sisters remains one of the most popular and most often produced.
