Something I put a lot of work into in Rainbow Orchid is attempting to make the environment 'real', to give the story a sense of place and location. This is easier in outdoor views than indoor areas, especially when it comes to handling a sequence of panels that take place in a single room. In some cases I will sketch out a little location map to help me keep the views consistent. I'm sure it's not really noticeable in the end (and I don't always follow the plan exactly, artistic license is very useful) but I do think it makes some difference, perhaps subconsciously. At least, I like to think so.

The numbers indicate the reader's viewpoint in each panel.
