The First Book of Spelles
This is the original cover of the mysterious Arconomicon. It is said that when Khal-Abarha finished compiling the tome he cast a spell that was to dismiss his physical body to the ether. As his body glowed with the sorcerous aura of ancient magic, he stamped his hand down on the cover, infusing his seeping energies with the knowledge of the book, before he faded away completely. His followers took the pages and bound them with bronze and cast the title from mithril, laying it on top of the unique hand print, which still glowed with the power of the great magician.
The original Arconomicon is now kept in the Great Library of Wizard's Gate, on the Great Road between the cities of Galmigur and Akran. The magic is said to have faded from the hand-print, but the knowledge within is still intact. Several copies are said to be in existance, but they do not inspire Wizards as does the original.

Handy Notes on T&T Magic
Mana: 3D6 (prime attribute). All characters have it and may resist magic (see below).
Magic costs Mana, when Mana reaches zero the wizard becomes unconcious. If the Mana goes into negative numbers then the character's Mana is reduced permanently by the negative number (if it is zero permanently after this then the character dies).
Mana is regained at the rate of 1 point per turn.
- Staffs reduce the cost of casting a spell by the same number as the level of the magic-user.
- All spells always cost at least 1 Mana.
- Casting a spell of a level lower than your own means a reduction of 1 Mana point for each level that the spell is lower than the caster's level (1 per 2 levels for War-Wiz).
- For each level of spell above the caster's level, add 1 to Mana cost (must have IQ & DEX req).
- Rogues canot use staffs, and must always cast a spell at full Mana cost. A Rogue cannot learn spells above 7th level. The Guild will not teach Rogues.
- Magic Resistance: Spells that have an effect on a being can usually be resisted by making a Mana saving roll, the number being determined by taking away the victim's level from the caster's level.
