The Book of the Dead title graphic

published by Jurassic London art by Garen Ewing art director Jared Shurin

In 2013 Jurassic London (in association with the Egypt Exploration Society) published a pair of books on the theme of mummies. The Book of the Dead was all-new fiction by the likes of Gail Carriger, Paul Cornell, Roger Luckhurst and Molly Tanzer, to name just a few, while Unearthed reprinted a number of classic mummy tales by Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan-Doyle, and many others. I illustrated several of the new tales, and one by Doyle (Lot No. 249), as well as designing the titles and reprint covers. The original illustrations were published in black and white, but I coloured them for a set of prints.
