I've been building websites since 1997, creating and updating them for a variety of clients including charities, small businesses, e-learning and entertainment sites. I can incorporate MySQL database and PHP and also work with Flash, Shockwave and DHTML for interactivity.

Note that I don't link to external websites, as once I have done my work they are subject to change beyond my control.

The welcome page to the site includes a random main image, taken from a possible six images, including relevant caption.	Registered users can use this form to search the database of people involved in the Afghan War 1878-1880. There is a simple name search, or more advanced options can be used.	Results are displayed in attractive and easy-to-read tables, including a portrait photo, if one is available.

The user can click a link to bring up a simple printable version of any particular record from their results.	The site's bibliography is also driven by a database, so new books can be easily added and the page updates automatically.	The website was featured on BBC Radio 4's 'Making History' programme.
