Licensing fees

For small and amateur theatrical productions I keep the fee as low as possible, so it works out at £30 (about $45 depending on current exchange rate) to use my ready-made images for your publicity material for one production run (up to 3,000 printed items).

If your show is rather bigger (3,000 or more printed items) then this goes up to £50 ($75).

These prices include reasonable digital use on your own website and any web-ads or promotion for your own production. If you wish to use them for merchandise (eg. t-shirts) or other uses, then a separate negotiation can be agreed.

If you wish to use my images for a professional production (ie. you are paying the actors) then please contact me for a quote.

If you wish to use my artwork for a school production, please contact me.

I can accept payments by cheque (UK only), wire transfer, or PayPal.

Terms & conditions

If using my images for your show, you kindly agree to:

  • pay the appropriate license fee (before artwork is provided)
  • only use the artwork for one production run in one venue
  • do not share or pass on the artwork for use by any other group, society or production
  • include a credit line for the artwork in your programme or playbill and on any webpage of your own that includes the work, including a live weblink (eg. "original artwork by Garen Ewing www.garenewing.co.uk © 2010") - it does not need to be on your poster, where I realise space is at a premium
  • not use the artwork for anything for which this agreement is not intended (eg. a book cover, t-shirt design, any merchandise - a separate negotiation can be agreed for any of these)
